Our next Kx Community Singapore Meetup, running in collaboration with YOW!, offers a great opportunity to hear from two interesting perspectives; Dave Thomas, CSO of Kx Systems and a highly regarded thought leader in the Big Fast Data Analytics space, and Tom Kearney, a hands on kdb+ consultant working directly with tier one investment banks.

Speaker Information

Dave Thomas is Chief Scientist (CSO) of Kx Systems and heads Kx Labs – dedicated to discovering new ideas and transforming them into innovative software solutions that build on existing Kx technologies. Kx Labs are currently exploring emerging areas such as Self-Service Analytics, IoT, Machine Learning and Predictive Analysis, Operational Intelligence and more. YOW! was founded by Dave in 2008 as a passion project focusing on shared learning.

Tom Kearney is an Australian kdb+ consultant with First Derivatives. His educational background is Mechatronic Engineering & Finance. Recently, he has been working on big, fast data with a focus on market surveillance systems, but is also interested in applying kdb+ to problems outside of finance.
