From branding to user experience to city planning, panelists will discuss how they approach projects from a design point of view, how design thinking methods help with problem-solving, and much more. Plus, they’ll cover opportunities within the field and their vision for the future of the industry.

About the Speakers

Melissa Ng
Founder, Melewi

Melissa Ng is the founder of MELEWI – a travelling Product, UX & UI design studio working with passionate people from around the world – from startups in Australia, San Francisco and Singapore, to global companies like McDonalds and Samsung.

She is an expert at turning big ideas into big successes, and lives to make users, product and business make sense together. She believes an excellent user experience means thinking about how to make your product work so your users don’t have to.

Lee Powers
Creative Director, Super Super Dope

Lee Powers is an award winning Photographer turned Creative Director. He tells stories, executes stella ideas with global creative agencies and iconic brands such as Nike, Levis, P+G, Ford, Mercedes, Jaguar, Johnnie Walker, Lamborghini. An insatiable desire to create, learn and make, Lee is an established visual arts professional with 18 years of creative, strategic and entrepreneurial experience. Lee has called 4 continents home and has lived and worked in his native London, New York City, Sydney and is currently based in Singapore.

Menaka Chandrasekhar
Senior Interaction Designer, Huge

Menaka Chandrasekhar has over 9 years of design experience spanning across Singapore and India. With a strong background in graphic design, she has a unique skill set of designing for print and digital media. Her love for problem solving and pixel perfection eventually led her to becoming a user experience designer.

When she’s not busy being super-mum after work, you may find her enthusiastically chatting away about geeky things (like the influence of AI and machine learning on UX) at design meet-ups across the city.

Victor Solares
User Experience Lead, Palo IT

Over his career, Victor has worked with multidisciplinary teams to design and communicate strategies that have enriched and empowered end users for Fortune 500 companies and U.S. Government departments. Prior to PALO IT, he has led the user experience design practice at GSD&M, a leading American advertising agency. Victor is a recent transplant of Austin, Texas U.S.A. where he was an active design speaker and hosted various design talks in support of the larger design community in Silicon Hills region. Occasionally, you can find Victor prototyping and further mastering his front-end development skills.

Albert Camacho
Design & UX Lead, Circles.Life

Albert has worn many hats in the design industry; most recently working on UX/UI with startups like TradeHero and currently with new telco Circles.Life.

As a fundamental philosophy to everything he does, Albert takes complicated ideas and creates a seamless, simple journey for customers. His expertise lies in the design and execution of a customer journey on anything from an eCommerce site, marketing websites, or through mobile apps.
