“Design That Scales”
- 7:00 – 7:30 – Registration & Network
- 7:30 – Designing for Word of Mouth by Desmond Chua at Referral Candy
In his own blurb:
“Naturally, people informally share experiences and make referrals all the time. Companies like Airbnb, Uber and Dropbox understand this, and have accelerated their growth with referrals. Yet, the potential of referrals is still largely untapped for a lot of businesses. Why is this so? What’s less known about how people share? How do we design for word of mouth?
Desmond will share insights, case studies and challenges from designing and marketing ReferralCandy, a solution that turbocharges referrals for businesses worldwide.”
- 8:10 – Scaling and Polishing is for Designers (not just dentists) by Jill Quek & Lee Si Min, Product Designers at Zendesk
In their own blurbs:
“We’re designers at Zendesk, a customer service platform with 8 different products, used by more than 100,000 businesses in over 150 countries and 40 languages worldwide. Our Creative team of 40+ is distributed across 7 countries. Working with an international team for an international audience means we constantly need to think about design that scales. We’ll talk about the struggles, successes and surprises we’ve experienced as we’ve tackled scalable design.”
- 9:00 – 9:30pm Network :)
Desmond has a background in digital animation, and is currently a Product Designer at ReferralCandy – a leading automated referral programme solution for online retailers.
