Hello Digital Enthusiasts!
DAWS will kick off 2018 on 24th January @Uber and we look forward to seeing familiar and new faces! We have again two parts for you:
Part 1: David Brigham, Director of Analytics for South-East Asia @Mirum
Topic: How to use data if you don’t have any
The harder and organization finds it to access and integrate data, the higher the competitive advantage in doing so. This is because of the massive difference between the data rich world that is leading the data and analytics conversation at the cutting edge, and large MNCs, and FMCGs that are often very data poor: No email lists, no stores (online or physical), no loyalty schemes: How do you utilize the world of data from that position?
Using real life examples, the presentation will look at how organizations through new and emerging tech can encourage customers to tell you what they have purchased from you, when, and from where even if you sell through vendors and retailers, and then how you activate and monetize your customer data. We will also look at how Amazon is upending the non-data sector with its purchase of Whole Foods and thoughts on the us and them divide between digital and non-digital analysts; two functions that are needed to ensure access to lucrative customer data at both the top of funnel and the bottom of funnel.
About the speaker: David has worked has worked closely with brands such as Expedia, Coca Cola, L’Occitane, Tesco, Sky TV, and Virgin Australia within verticals such as travel, retail, media, telco, financial services, fashion, from both an in house and agency and consultancy side perspective. Previously worked in London and Sydney before relocating to Singapore in 2016.
